What about the warranty for the Plug-In Battery?

Updated today

Is the Plug-In Battery covered by a warranty?

If your Plug-In Battery unexpectedly fails, you are of course entitled to a warranty. The warranty consists of two different arrangements:

  • Manufacturer's warranty: the first 2 years after delivery.
We will collect the battery and replace it free of charge with a newer unit.

  • Swap Service: 3 to 7 years after delivery, up to a maximum of 4000 charge cycles.
We will collect the battery and replace it with a newer unit. This costs €329 (this amount is subject to changes such as taxes, raw material prices, and inflation).

In case of a defect, contact our support team via the green button on our website. Make sure you have the original HomeWizard invoice on hand. If they determine that the defect is covered by the manufacturer's warranty or the Swap Service, they will schedule a pickup appointment. The defective battery will then be collected and replaced with a working unit.

What should I do if my Plug-In Battery shows an error code?

Do you see an error code in the HomeWizard app? In this article, you can read what it means and what you can do.

What are 'charge cycles' and where can I find my battery's charge cycles?

The Swap Service is valid for up to 4000 charge cycles. One charge cycle means the battery has been fully charged and discharged once. You can find the number of charge cycles for your battery in the HomeWizard app, under Devices > Plug-In Battery > Meter readings.

What about the warranty for an installation without a plug?

Is your Plug-In Battery connected to a dedicated circuit without a plug? No problem. The warranty remains valid. Please ensure the home battery is disconnected and packed when we come to collect it.
