The home overview shows at a glance where your energy comes from and where it goes. The home overview adapts automatically: it’s light during the day and dark in the evening.
What is the home overview?
In the home overview, you see your current consumption. Moving lines show whether you draw power from the grid, produce solar power, or deliver your solar surplus back to the grid.
Do you have an electric car, e-bike, or Plug-In Battery connected in the HomeWizard app? Then you also see whether they’re active.
Purple lines: power drawn from the grid
Green lines: power you produce or draw from a Plug-In Battery
Which data do I see in the home overview?
The home overview adjusts to the devices you’ve connected. By default, you see the house with a purple line from the grid. Underneath, you’ll find the following data:
Grid: the power you’ve drawn from the grid today
Costs: your power costs for today (set your energy tariffs here)
Surplus: the solar power you’ve delivered back to the grid today
Have you connected solar panels via Energy+ or a kWh Meter? Then, under the house, you’ll see:
Production: the power your panels produced today.
Solar consumption: the solar power you’ve used in your home today.
Including the percentage of solar consumption compared to your total power consumption today.
Do you not have connected solar panels? Then you’ll see:
Gas: your gas consumption today
Water: your water consumption today*
* Water is only shown if you’ve connected a HomeWizard Watermeter or a digital water meter from your grid operator (currently mainly in Belgium).
You can switch between these views yourself. Go to Settings > Graphs.
Which devices are shown in the home overview?
Solar panels
Solar panels appear as soon as you connect them via Energy+ or a kWh Meter (with the Solar panels profile). You’ll then see solar panels on the roof of the house.
When your solar panels produce power, a green line runs from your panels to the house. When you send solar surplus to the grid, you’ll see a green line from the house to the grid.
Electric car or e-bike
Your electric car or bike appears as soon as you measure it with an Energy Socket or kWh Meter. In the app, set the correct profile: car or e-bike. After that, the vehicle appears in the home overview. Purple lines appear when the car or bike is charging.
If you’ve connected both an electric car and an e-bike, you’ll only see the car. It’s not possible to show both vehicles at the same time.
Plug-In Battery's
Have you connected one or more Plug-In Battery’s? Then you’ll see them inside the house. Green lines indicate your Plug-In Battery’s are charging, purple lines show they are discharging.
How do I personalize my home overview?
Adjust your home overview via Settings > Graphs. Here you’ll find:
Show home overview
Enable or disable the home overview.
'Gas and water' / 'Solar power'
This is the information shown above the house.
See ‘Which data do I see in the home overview?’ for more information.
Select car type
Only if you’ve connected a kWh Meter or Energy Socket with the Car profile.
Choose your car model and color here.
